Arlington Heights UMC is committed to a covenant relationship with UMC missionary Gaston Nkulu Ntambo. Click on the photo of Gaston on the left to see how he is involved in life-changing ministry in the name of Jesus Christ.
Gaston Nkulu Ntambo is a missionary with the Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church assigned to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Based in Luena, Gaston serves as a pilot and mechanic with the Wings of the Morning Aviation Ministry in the North Katanga Conference.
The aviation ministry provides transportation in hard-to-reach areas of Africa, especially in emergency situations. "Just as you see behind me, the small, tiny little airplane...But I think of it as an angel to the rescue...I am blessed to be part of a ministry where God is able to use me and this tiny little airplane to save lives. We fly into the villages and we drop medicines sometimes. We fly to the villages and we pick up the patients. They don't have to be United Methodist - anybody who calls, we will fly and pick them up and take them to the nearest hospital."
Gaston is married to Jeanne Kabove Ntambo, also a GBGM missionary. They have five children: Andy Nkulu and Lorree Nkulu, born 8/1996; Gabriel Kahenga, born 8/1998; Noah Kabove, born 6/2000; and Eileen, born 10/2003. Gaston's father is Bishop Ntambo Nkulu of the North Katanga Conference. Gaston is a member of a local United Methodist church in Luena.
